Mental Health Awareness Week runs from 13 to 19 May and is being marked in Leeds as well as nationally. The great news is that you can get involved in Leeds in lots of different ways!
You might already be running or planning to attend an event to raise awareness of mental health or joining in the chat on social media.
You can also promote good mental health at work with MindWell’s new staff wellbeing guide for Leeds employers, developed with Mindful Employer Leeds. You can follow the lauch on Twitter by following @MindWellLeeds and #MindWellatWork
Why not take MindWell’s self-care MOT too? This new campaign for Mental Health Awareness Week encourages everyone in Leeds to think about their personal wellbeing needs and to take some small steps to look after their mental health. You can find out more on Twitter with @MindWellLeeds and #MindWellMOT.
The national theme for Mental Health Awareness Week is ‘Body image – how we think and feel about our bodies’. MindMate, the Leeds website for young people’s mental health, is talking all things body image. You can find them on Twitter or Instagram as @mindmateleeds.
The main hashtags on Twitter are #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek and #MHAW19 and #BeBodyKind. So why not join in the chat? You can promote what you’re doing to mark the week – please tag @MyForumCentral too!
