Advonet want to make advocacy more accessible to marginalised communities in Leeds, so they are launching a new fund. The Advocacy Development Fund has a £25,000 pot of money, offering grants of between £500 and £10,000 to local community groups who want to try advocacy approaches.
They are holding a free in-person event with a vegan lunch to coproduce the funding criteria and application process.
Date: Tuesday 24 May
Time: 9.30am – 1pm
Venue: St George’s Conference Centre.
This is an exciting piece of work. Its purpose is to engage communities who are under-represented as clients of our services and support community groups to deliver advocacy, their way- whichever way will work best for the people they know best.
