As part of this meeting we invite you to join one of FOUR informal skill share workshops. Please choose your workshop when you register. Choose ONE workshop only please.
This will also be an opportunity to network with others working in your field.
Workshop 1: Great group activities for men.
Tara Scott, Zest Leeds
Tara has many years’ experience of running health and wellbeing activities for men, both online and in person. She will be sharing some of her best ideas for group activities with men.
Come along, get some ideas, and share your own.
Workshop 2: Men and self-identity
Duncan Millard, Humans Being
Duncan will be running a workshop on men and self-identity. How does the culture of masculinity affect health, and how we can start to challenge and change it for the better? Come and join Duncan for his wealth of experience in this field and to share your own thoughts.
Workshop 3: Engaging men from ethnic minority backgrounds
Geeta Lota, Circles of Life: Voice of Men
Geeta engages with men from ethnic minority backgrounds in some of the most deprived areas of the city. Come and learn about Geeta’s work and share some of your own experiences too.
Workshop 4: Health and Wellbeing of low-income men.
Dr Mike Jestico, University of Leeds
Dr Jestico has written a PHD on the difficulties faced by low-income men in maintaining and improving their health and wellbeing. The research, which was conducted mainly in Leeds, reveals both the barriers and the protective factors that you might consider when engaging men.
A chance too for you to share your own experiences and contribute to the research.
Remember to book your tickets using this link or the one above. Choose ONE workshop only.
