An introduction to the skills required to live a more independent life.
This Independent Living programme is designed to support members to develop transferable skills for increased independence and improve their knowledge of the key components required to be more self-reliant both at home and out in the community.
The 12 week programme will introduce members to the different areas involved in living more independently, giving them the chance to learn lots of new personal and practical skills including: housekeeping, cooking, healthy eating, budgeting, personal care and shopping and travelling, as well as the necessary social skills needed to help members feel more confident when out and about in their local area.
The programme will start on Friday 21 April and will run every Friday morning 9.30am-12.30pm for 12 weeks at Outside the Box in Ilkley.
