From Sunday 21 February 2021, bus stops on New Briggate will no longer be served and services will permanently move to Vicar Lane. Vicar Lane will be open to buses travelling both ways for the first time in over 50 years.
Services affected are: 2, 3, 3A, 7, 7A, 7S, X7, 11, 11A, 12, 13, 13A, 36, 843
The changes are part of the Connecting Leeds transformation to improve bus reliability and help bus services to navigate more easily through the city centre.
When reopened, buses will use Vicar Lane in both inbound and outbound directions removing a bottleneck on The Headrow at New Briggate and creating a better bus stop environment for passengers.
