Active Leeds and Public Health at Leeds City Council are working in partnership with Touchstone to engage people across the city as Mover&Shakers.

A Mover&Shaker is anyone who is interested in sharing their ideas for how Leeds could become a more active city, using their social media and community networks to promote physical activity opportunities, and maybe making things happen in their local area to enable others to be more active too.

A Welcome Pack for Mover&Shakers is in the works, which will include ideas for organisations to connect with in their area. Information will be included on walking for health, litter-picking groups, parkrun, Leeds Girls Can, DAZL, and ‘friends of’ groups for local green spaces, as well as the Better Together providers. .

Further ideas are welcome – especially for the Inner South, Inner West and Inner East. If you have any opportunities you’d like to share or organisations you think should be included (such as community centres or faith centres that are open to hosting opportunities to be active), please share them with [email protected].
