As part of the Community Mental Health Transformation Programme, Our partner Volition is seeking to recruit a Third Sector Community Capacity Builder.

The Community Mental Health Transformation Programme is a partnership of service users and people with lived experience, the NHS,  council community and voluntary sector organisations coming together to transform how primary and community mental health services are currently organised and delivered.

The Community Capacity Builder will work with our members to ensure that the Third Sector and community contribution to the development and implementation of the Community Mental Health Transformation Programme for the city has the best possible impact. 

Salary:  £30,000 – £32,000 per annum
Hours: Full Time (35 hours per week)
Contract: 3 Years Fixed term (secondment welcomed)
Location: Leeds

Purpose of post
The post holder will work on behalf of Leeds’ Third Sector as part of the Leeds Community Mental Health Transformation Programme group. The programme is a cross-sector partnership of health and care organisations working with people in Leeds to transform how primary and community mental health services are currently organised and delivered.

The group aims to create innovative ways of working to co-design and implement systemic change to transform community mental health services. 

As a Community Builder you will be an ambassador for the Third Sector in this transformation. You will provide tailored support to our member organisations, to ensure that they are engaged and involved with the development and implementation of the programme. 

You will ensure that Third Sector organisations working in health and care are able to engage strategically, and promote and encourage partnerships, organisational resilience, good governance and high-quality service delivery.
