Older People – Leeds Corona Virus Outbreak Plan Grants

Funding is now available to support and increase the capacity of third sector organisations to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic in Leeds.

Funding is provided by Leeds City Council Public Health and grants are being administered and supported by Leeds Older People’s Forum as a partner of Forum Central.

Who can apply?

Applications will be accepted from any third sector organisation from small community groups to larger registered charities. Organisations must be able to demonstrate their ability to meet the needs identified, engage with and work to support older people in Leeds.

What can be funded?

Successful applications will need to meet the needs of people aged 60 plus from diverse communities, communities of interest and those who are at greater risk, or more vulnerable, to COVID-19.

The majority of people benefitting from the work proposed in your application should live within the 20% most deprived areas in Leeds.

Grant Values available

There are two types of grants available. Organisations may apply for both but must submit separate applications:

Option One – Grants of up to £1000 where an organisation is delivering the proposed work alone.
Option Two – Grants of up to £5,000 where two or more organisations are working together to jointly deliver the proposed work and are able to scale up the reach covering a number of geographies or work areas and/or vulnerable groups.
