Leeds Prevent Team invite staff to attend a free half-day learning event delivered by Odd Arts. The aim is to support organisations that work with young people around issues that have become apparent from the Israel/Hamas conflict and other worldwide conflicts impacting young people. 

The workshop will support professionals who work with young people to:

  • Have difficult conversations with young people around war, conflict and traumatic worldwide events.
  • Support with the ability to safely negotiate challenging discussions and topics.
  • Enable professionals to support young people with non-violent communication around sensitive issues.
  • Increase understanding of young people, their emotions and their communication skills. 
  • Practice putting techniques into practice in scenarios that are relevant to people at risk of radicalisation, using games, debate, role-play, reflective practice and action planning.
