The Leeds Cancer Awareness Project is offering to join online groups to raise awareness of cancer symptoms and prevention.
This is a free service and will provide information on keeping well, early signs and symptoms of cancer, encourage NHS screening, remind service users that it is safe to visit their GP and raise awareness for the all-important message early detection saves lives.
The team is also carrying out research questionnaires to find out what the people of Leeds know about cancer; the results are then used to inform local Public Health campaigns. If you are aged 50 or over, living in a Leeds postcode and are available for a 20-minute telephone interview, they would love to hear from you.
