Free training from NHS Leeds

/, Learning Disability/Free training from NHS Leeds

The NHS in Leeds is working together to offer FREE training and support for patients, members of the public and staff.

The training is informal, fun and friendly; it’s a great way to learn more about your NHS and improve your CV.

You can see the full list of training here :

Coming up this month we have:

  • Find out how you can champion the voice of the wider public and seldom heard groups in our ‘ Being an effective patient champion ‘ training on Thursday 19 January between 1pm and 4pm at Wira House. The training will introduce emotional intelligence and explore the attitudes, values, skills and behaviours of effective leaders.
  • On Monday 23 January we will hold our ‘ Peer support ‘ group between 12:30pm and 2:30pm at Thorpe Park. It’s a great chance to meet other people who are passionate about improving our health services and gives you chance to share good practice and get inspired.
  • We’ll also be at Thorpe park for our ‘ Knowing your community ‘ session between 9:30am and 12:30pm on Monday 30 January. This session looks at key equality legislation and practical ways we can engage with diverse communities such as the deaf and hard-of-hearing community.

If you have any questions or would like to book anyone onto the training please contact Adam Stewart or call 0113 8435475.
