Harnessing the Power of Communities Briefing Event

//Harnessing the Power of Communities Briefing Event

Forum Central and Leeds Community Foundation are working in partnership with funding from West Yorkshire and Harrogate Health and Care Partnership (WY&H) to ensure the Third Sector is better connected, influential and resourced and an active, integral part of local health and care systems transformation and systems-wide culture-shift.

We are delighted to launch this small grants programme which aims to support organisations and projects to improve the health and wellbeing of people in communities identified as the most deprived in Leeds, building on local assets to address locally identified needs. Part of the wider Harnessing the Power of Communities programme, it aims to develop, strengthen and sustain community activity in Leeds that demonstrates health outcomes, and to build the capacity of the Third Sector as an integral part of the health and care system.

We are delighted to invite you to a briefing event about this programme on Tuesday 21 January 2020 at the offices of Squire Patton Boggs.

If you would like to learn more about this fund and are thinking of making an application, then please join us for this briefing event. During the session, you will have the opportunity to meet fund managers, learn more about the fund, criteria and application process, as well as guidance on the evaluation process. There will also be an opportunity to ask any questions you may have and network with others.

Please note that this programme is targeted as a small grants round and so preference will be given for organisations with lower incomes i.e. income of less than £100,000 in the last financial year.

However, organisations with an income over £100,000 whose proposal is clearly supporting other organisations to deliver interventions or build capacity for delivering and evaluating health and wellbeing outcomes in communities will be considered.
