The Leeds Safeguarding Adults Board is offering free virtual awareness sessions focused on keeping adults safe from abuse.

While the pandemic has shown how we can all pull together and support our communities, unfortunately there are a few who will take advantage of this time to exploit people who are naturally worried and scared. Some people with care and support needs may be more at risk because they don’t know that someone is doing something wrong to them.

Citizen Engagement Officer David works with organisations and community groups to raise public awareness about abuse and neglect and how to get support. Due to the current situation, sessions are being delivered virtually, online via Zoom etc. Some groups have tagged a session into their regular virtual meet up, others have set up one off sessions. The length of the session, number of attendees etc. can be tailored to meet your requirements. Sessions are delivered free of charge.

If you would like to arrange a session (or sessions) please email [email protected] or call 0113 3789474.
