The King’s Fund and National Lottery Fund Healthy Communities Together Programme will support up to six local areas for up to four years (up to £500K over four years per area), helping to develop more effective partnerships between voluntary and community sector organisations and the NHS and local authorities in their area.
As only one partnership from each area can submit an application for this opportunity, in our role as the Health and Care Third Sector Forum for Leeds we have been working with Public Health and other partners to coordinate a partnership response. Back in early March (when we used to meet in places not on Zoom!), we convened a meeting at Swarthmore to bring together interested parties (including NHS and Local Authority Partners), to discuss ideas and agree how best to respond.
A bid focused on supporting more marginalised communities led by a network of charities (LASSN, BASIS, GATE and MESMAC) was supported by the Partnership Exec Group on the Health and Wellbeing Board and is currently being finalised for submission. We will keep you informed of progress
