Leeds Community Healthcare Trust (LCH) are developing a new third sector strategy. And as part of this Forum Central collaborated with the Trust to host a conversation event for members to discuss how partnership working could be improved and what some of the further opportunities for working together might be.
Touchstone and Community Links, who are existing partners of LCH, gave testimonials to highlight their experiences of working with LCH, highlighting positive practice and also some of the challenges of working in partnership together.
Over 60 health and care third sector organisations attended. Conversations touched on volunteering, business development, utilising the specialist expertise of the sector to navigate the health system and working together to make the best of Leeds’ resources.
Notes and slides from the session can be downloaded below:
We are continuing to work with colleagues at LCH on the development of the strategy.
The next steps will be for the Head of Business Development and Business Planning Manager at LCH to use all intelligence gathered, from the event, as well as wider partnership discussions, to draft the strategy, with a view to launching early in 2020.
