Leeds Trinity’s new Student Mental Health & Wellbeing Service brings together existing provision and is providing a wide range of excellent and innovative support to help students manage psychological, emotional and psychiatric issues whilst at University.
Leeds Trinity are seeking to recruit an experienced mental health professional to join a very busy and well-respected team. The successful candidate will be professionally trained and experienced in working with a range of mental health needs. An appreciation of the complexity and needs of students in a Higher Education setting would be advantageous.
You will work alongside Counsellors and Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist to support self-referred students seeking support, providing professional, confidential assessment and wellbeing support to those experiencing distress.
Using your professional training and drawing on your experience and knowledge in mental health and wellbeing, you will manage a varied and complex caseload of students, providing initial assessments through to delivery of appropriate interventions.
You will demonstrate excellent interpersonal, communication and administrative skills and be willing to be flexible to manage your own workload in response to the needs of the service. It is important that the postholder is a positive and committed team player with a willingness to play an active part in all aspects of the service delivery.
