MADE to dance at Yorkshire Dance

//MADE to dance at Yorkshire Dance

MADE (Mixed Ability Dance for Everyone) is a beginner’s, fun, social dance class open to all adults aged 18+.

Current members have a variety of dance experience and include people of all ages including those with no dance background and people with limited mobility. All you need is an interest in dance and a willingness to get stuck in!

MADE focuses on gentle exercises to improve mobility, flexibility and balance. Guided by experienced artists, participants will develop their movement style, explore their creative side, build confidence to create movements and even develop new work as a group. In a typical session, members are led through different exercises to create movements both individually and as a group. A variety of props and music are used to inspire new ways of moving.

There will also be opportunities throughout the year to share what has been created for an audience of family and friends. Performing is always optional and there is no pressure to take part if participants do not feel comfortable.
