Leeds Jewish Housing Association is collecting donations for Leeds Women’s Aid and they want your help.

Mitzvah Day, the Jewish-led day of social action takes place on 21 November this year. Leeds Jewish Housing Association (LJHA) are coordinating a collection in aid of Leeds Women’s Aid and Staying Put in Bradford to support women and children affected by domestic violence and abuse.

In the weeks leading up to Mitzvah Day, items will be collected and sent to a central point and then on the day, volunteers will pack boxes to be distributed to the two organisations.

You can support their collection by donating items (ranging from food or clothing to larger items such as bikes or play equipment) or becoming a community drop off point for donations. If you are able to help or would like to know more, please contact Simon Phillips, LJHA Community Engagement Officer on [email protected].
