Action on Hearing Loss is launching a new service in Leeds providing information, advice, support and training about hearing loss and tinnitus.

Many people diagnosed with hearing loss experience significant barriers and isolation (both socially and at work), social distancing and an increase in use of facemasks adds additional challenges in current times. Action on Hearing Loss will be working to reduce these barriers and increase awareness of hearing loss and tinnitus.

During these unprecedented times, rather than a face to face service they are able to offer Deaf Awareness resources to your organisation along with information and advice via phone or email. It is a free service which can make a huge difference to quality of life.

As soon as they are able to we will be offering the following as part of the service:

  • Talks to groups focusing on managing hearing loss and tinnitus
  • Deaf Awareness sessions for staff/volunteers
  • Information stands at public events

If you are interested in finding more out about the above, would like to receive the Deaf Awareness resources or to arrange some talks or training, please contact [email protected]org.uk and she can look at arranging a date once current restrictions have been lifted.
