The new Charity Governance Code explained

//The new Charity Governance Code explained

Good governance is fundamental to every charity’s success.

The brand new Charity Governance Code – collectively revised by the sector – is both a clear set of standards and a highly practical tool.

It covers seven key principles and lists recommended practices for each, tailored both to larger and smaller organisations.

Dan Francis, Governance Consultant, NCVO has written a useful blog to explain:

  • What the code says
  • How it’s changed
  • How to use it

He has listed some other useful resources to support people with the code.
