Leeds Community Foundation in partnership with NHS Leeds CCG, Leeds City Council and Forum Central are pleased to announce this grant fund is now accepting applications.

The overall aim of the grants programme is to boost protective factors in children and young people (C&YP) who have experienced, or are at risk of experiencing, adversity.

The main focus will be on Community Organisations working with C&YP and families to promote strong, healthy relationships through activities that support the development of relationship & pro-social skills.

Applications are encouraged from organisations who work in more deprived areas, or with groups who face additional challenges, for example care leavers, families facing domestic abuse or racial inequity.

Grant holders will be asked to commit to working in a trauma-informed way, take a learning approach to their work and will be encouraged to engage with networks facilitated by Forum Central to share learning and build sector capacity.

Volition, on behalf of Forum Central have recruited a Community & Young People’s Engagement & Development Lead For the Trauma Informed Programme, who will work with successful grant holders in future, to provide network support, showcase learning and insight from the work and strengthen understanding of community need across the programme.

Grants are available for up to £20,000 for two years.

Closing date: 20th July 2022 12 noon. Criteria and more information can be found here: https://www.leedscf.org.uk/grants/trauma-informed-work-in-communities/
