New resources to help parents bond with their baby

//New resources to help parents bond with their baby

Does your organisation work with expecting parents and parents of young children?

Leeds City Council and the NHS in Leeds have produced two new resources to support you when working with families during pregnancy and early years, to promote attachment and bonding with their baby.

They say:

“We know practitioners across Leeds are already supporting parents and families to build strong relationships with their baby during pregnancy and the first two years of their life; as the most effective way to help them develop good physical, emotional and mental health as they grow up.”

An A3 poster and A5 prompt card have been produced, as part of the Leeds Best Start Plan, to support this work by providing a consistent message in an easy-to-understand format – see downloads below.

Colleagues are welcome to display the poster to help promote the messages and use the prompt card as part of a conversation with parents-to-be or parents who have recently had a child.

If you would like printed copies of the prompt card and poster, please contact the Public Health Resource Centre or you can use the links below to print your own.
