Alzheimer’s Society Leeds has launched Side by Side, a new service to support those living with dementia at this difficult time.

Side by Side is a volunteer-led service which helps people living with dementia to continue to play active roles in their communities, helping them to lead fulfilling lives, and reduce loneliness and isolation.

Whether people enjoy going to the football, catching a movie, a jog around the park, or a good old mooch around the shops, Side by Side aims to keep them doing the things they love and staying involved with their community.

Side by Side volunteers meet up with people, decide what they would like to do, and then do it together. It’s all about having fun and feeling good, whilst making a big difference to people’s lives.
