Through hundreds of applications to the King’s Fund GSK Impact Awards 2020, Shantona Women’s and Family Centre were recently awarded one of only 10 spots for a UK- wide Award.
The award recognises organisations overall, looking at 5 criteria: innovation, management, partnership, achievement, community focus and targeting need.
Shantona will receive a £30,000 donation, two places on a free training and development programme plus an invitation to join the GSK IMPACT Awards Development Network with its programme of free meetings and events, and not to mention a lovely awards ceremony!
Sonia Kumari, Training and Development Coordinator, Shantona Women’s and Family Centre, said:
We’re really excited to join the growing number of Northern charities winning awards and showcasing the crucial work done across Leeds and in that vein, a massive congratulations too to Solace for their runner’s up prize!
