Leeds Community Foundation have launched new funding for the Third Sector: The Leeds Fund Strategic Grants – Resilience

The Strategic Grants will address resilience for Third Sector Organisations: meaning the fund can support the development of Community Organisations themselves; rather than a specific project or group of people.

Grant Size: £30,000 over 2 years (£15,000 per year)

Location: Leeds

Deadline: 12 February 2021 at 12 noon

During the early stages of the Covid-19 pandemic, Leeds Community Foundation took the decision to fund both ongoing delivery and emergency support, but also to pilot a form of funding that covered the core costs of Community Organisations to try and help them thrive in the longer-term. Utilising the learning from the pilot, they have designed these grants using feedback from the organisations that received pilot grants: as well as by taking account of sector survey feedback over the last six months.

This fund therefore is designed to cover the core costs of Community Organisations and encourage strategic development work alongside daily delivery. In developing The Leeds Fund in this way, the hope is that it gives our sector the best chance of both delivering effectively – and surviving – in the years ahead.
