The One Leeds Workforce and Leeds Health and Care Academy are to develop a project which will aid workforce mobility among partners through a recognised framework of training for the City.

As part of the One Leeds Workforce, we are establishing a project that aims to facilitate the mobility of staff between partners through an established legal mechanism and recognised transferrable training. It aims to reduce the large numbers of hours which are lost when staff have to repeat training that is potentially transferrable across the system. It also aims to recognise and cater for the different needs of mandatory training between large statutory organisations and the smaller independent and third sector organisations, whilst ensuring equivalency.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work in partnership with the Leeds Health and Care Academy to develop this project and the offer for the city of Leeds. This is a longer term piece of work and we will keep members abreast of developments.

The first phase will be understanding and scoping the current training offer across the organisational boundaries and identifying any gaps.

Therefore, they are asking for a representative who has responsibility for your organisations current required training to work alongside the Leeds Health and Care Academy.

This will involve a two phased approach:

  1. Individual conversation with Leeds Health and Care Academy to inform and provide information on current required training to assist with scoping the current picture for the city of Leeds
  2. Opportunity to join a cross city working group to help devise a training framework for the City of Leeds
