Together Women reaching communities project

/, Mental Health/Together Women reaching communities project

The Together Women Project (TWP) is starting up a new one-to-one key-working service based in Leeds. They have an all-female client base, and are keen to make sure female asylum seekers and refugees, and also women from minority ethnic backgrounds, are referred to them.

TWP are an all-female charity offering a gender-specific service providing tailored support for a variety of needs, including budgeting, parenting skills, employability, and mental wellbeing.

The project wants to discourage isolation by encouraging participation in activities in the community. They aim to help women develop confidence and self-esteem in addressing any issues they may have by offering advice, guidance, focussed workshops and groups. These include:

  • anger management
  • healthy relationships
  • confidence building
  • family legal advice, and lots more

If you have any clients who you would deem appropriate to refer to this key-working service, please send their details on to TWP – see details below.
