International Men’s Day is celebrated on 19 November and aims to highlight positive role models and raise awareness of men’s wellbeing. Our Men’s Health Unlocked Network Coordinator Damian asked members what they were doing to celebrate the day and support men in Leeds with their health and wellbeing. Take a look at the programme of events below.

In addition to these member led events, our colleagues at the Humber, Coast and Vale Health and Care Partnership invite you to attend a fantastic programme of virtual events starting on 08 November. Here are some highlights:

  • Men’s sleep issues
  • Gareth Thomas, Welsh Rugby Player talking about LGBTQ+ equality, mental health and tackling stigma around HIV
  • Q&A session with Dr Alex George

These sessions are open to all staff across North East and Yorkshire including male and female colleagues, their husbands, partners, fathers, brothers, friends… Please book your place using this link: Booking for Men’s Health Sessions
