Mental health is a core part of neighbourhood health. As Integrated Neighbourhood Health (INH) models continue to develop across West Yorkshire, there is a growing focus on how mental health support can be better integrated alongside primary care, community services, local authorities and the VCSE sector.
As part of the West Yorkshire Integrated Neighbourhood Health Webinar Series, this session will explore how mental health and INH models connect in practice, and where there are opportunities to work differently across neighbourhoods.
About the session
This fifth webinar in the series is led by Dr Dorothy Frizelle, Charlotte Whale and Jo Butterfield, and is hosted by the NHS West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board.
The session will:
-
Explore what we mean by mental health, and how this differs from mental health service delivery
-
Share examples of good practice where mental health and INH are being integrated
-
Create space for open discussion about what integration could look like in your local context
The focus is practical and reflective, supporting partners to think about real opportunities for delivery at neighbourhood level.
Who should attend
This webinar is relevant to anyone working across West Yorkshire who is involved in neighbourhood-based services, including:
-
VCSE organisations
-
NHS managers and clinicians
-
Local authority colleagues
-
Primary care and community-based professionals
Whether you are already involved in delivering INH, or want to better understand how your work fits within this system-wide shift, the session offers a supportive space to learn, reflect and ask questions.
Why this matters
Integrated Neighbourhood Health is central to delivering the Government’s 10-year health plan for England, Fit for the Future. This includes the shift:
-
From hospital to community
-
From treatment to prevention
-
From analogue to digital
Making this work requires shared learning across the system, including what is working well, what is challenging, and why. This webinar series is designed to help partners learn together, rather than in isolation.
