Community & Young People’s Engagement & Development Lead for the Trauma Informed Programme, Volition

Sally’s role works in collaboration with Leeds third sector and public sector teams as part of the Trauma Informed Programme and she represents the communities, children and young people who have lived experience of trauma within the programme. By working closely with a network of informed community organisations, Sally ensures the voices of the children, young people and families are heard by system leaders so that accessibility to services are improved. Sally leads on raising awareness of trauma informed working that is already taking place across the city and influences city wide initiatives to embed trauma informed approaches into their services.

Sally has a wide range of experience of working with communities and young people from the last 15 years of working in the education and arts sectors. Sally is passionate about the arts as a force for social change within communities and is excited about working with the people of Leeds to make it an even better city for the children and young people to grow up in today and in the future,
