As temperatures drop, Leeds City Council Public Health has released this year’s winter weather bulletin to help services prepare for cold conditions and support people who may be at higher risk. Severe cold can have a major impact on health and wellbeing, so we are encouraging VCSE organisations to review the latest guidance and share relevant messages with staff, volunteers and communities.

Who is most at risk?
Cold weather affects everyone, but some people are especially vulnerable, including:
older people, people with long-term health conditions, those with respiratory illnesses, young children, pregnant people, people living alone, people on low incomes, and those living in homes that are difficult to heat.
