Every year on World Suicide Prevention Day, organisations and communities around the world come together to raise awareness of how we can create a world where fewer people die by suicide.

To mark the day in 2024, the Leeds Mindful Employer network is bringing together local employers, businesses and workplaces, to explore how they can play a vital role in suicide prevention and postvention.

The event will feature a keynote talk by Steve Phillip, Founder of the Jordan Legacy CIC, focusing on strengthening your company’s ‘safety net.’ Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about successful suicide prevention approaches implemented by local employers, understand Leeds’ strategic approach, and discover ways to support employees bereaved by suicide. In addition, attendees will gain access to an exclusive employer resource, hear personal stories from individuals with lived experience, and engage in discussions on best practices, local services, and training. This FREE event is open to all local employers.
