Following a successful pilot in January of the ‘Motivational Interviewing’ training, the Leeds Health and Care Academy have added two more sessions.
13 – 14 May 2025
22 – 23 September 2025
People often find that making changes to their lifestyle and behaviour can be really difficult, even when they know it may be causing them harm. Motivational Interviewing is helpful for those working in a wide range of health and care settings. The techniques involved can help support those that use our services to make good choices and take ownership of their own health and lifestyle.
This evidence-based communication style has been proven to be effective in health care, prevention, self-management, education, criminal justice settings and so many other areas. This course will provide a thorough introduction to Motivational Interviewing and the skills required to put it into practice.
