Impact North and Hamara Centre Leeds are working together on a collaboration to support mental health and wellbeing in staff.
Impact North, based in South Leeds since 2013, provides a range of psychotherapy services for children and young people aged 0-25, parents, carers and professionals. They work with Children’s Centre’s, schools and family support services aiming to improve children and family mental health building hope and aspiration for the future.
Through Leeds Community Foundation they are delighted to partner with the Hamara Centre to offer free mental health consultations and training to staff who wish to know and understand more about the mental health of the families they work with.
They are delivering a range of sessions including confidential mental health consultations, bespoke group training on areas like understanding attachment and its impact on mental health, the impact of domestic violence on family relationships. In addition, they are providing one to one and group staff support sessions to think about the impact this work may be having on us as professionals and how we can best look after our own wellbeing.
In the wake of the pandemic and particularly on this World Mental Health Day 2021 we need to now more than ever pay attention to our emotional wellbeing, to gather ourselves up and remember our strengths and capacity to survive.
