Camera Connections is a new photography exhibition created by older people from across Leeds, facilitated by Skippko Arts Team.
The project invited participants to explore the feelings and emotions of what life is like “at our age now”. As part of the process, participants looked at the work of different photographers and discussed the emotions those images evoked. This led to open conversations, reflection and the creation of a series of powerful and thoughtful photographs.
The exhibition brings together work from participants supported by AVSED, Burmantofts Community Friends, Age UK Leeds, Crossgates Good Neighbours and Touchstone Dementia Support. Sessions were facilitated by Skippko artists Nicki and Sally.
A publication will be produced to accompany the exhibition.
Camera Connections is funded as part of the three-year Home from Home programme, supported by the National Lottery Community Fund.
