Leading suicide prevention charity, PAPYRUS, has been commissioned to deliver suicide prevention training to those working across West Yorkshire.
Who is eligible for the training?
The training is available for:
- Those working with children and young people outside of mental health services
- Criminal justice – probation service, police stations, prisons, and young offenders
- Housing associations – those who may come across tenants with specific risk factors for suicide
- GP surgeries – including social prescribers and those supporting people with long-term conditions
- DWP staff, debt advisors, and others who come into contact with the recently unemployed, or those experiencing debt and/or financial exclusion
- Union representatives and line managers in major employers, particularly of men
