Leeds Beckett University is inviting older adults and informal carers to take part in a new research study exploring views on the potential use of risk prediction tools in social care.
The study aims to understand what people think about a new type of tool that could help plan future care and support for older adults.
What is the study about?
Researchers are exploring whether risk prediction tools could be used in social care to help anticipate future needs and support planning.
They want to hear directly from:
-
Older adults
-
People who provide informal care or support to an older person
-
Family members involved in supporting older adults
The research has received the necessary Health Research Authority (HRA) and Research Ethics Committee approvals.
Why your views matter
As new tools and technologies are considered in health and social care, it is important that the people most affected have a voice in how they are designed and used.
This study is focused on understanding:
-
What people think about the idea of risk prediction tools
-
Any concerns or expectations
-
What would make such tools acceptable, helpful or appropriate
Your experiences and insights could help shape how future services are developed.
How to take part
Full details about the study, including who can take part and how to get involved, are available in the study flyer.
Anyone interested can contact the research team directly using the details provided on the poster.
