Leeds Recovery College provide free community courses which are available to adults (18+) who live, work or study in Leeds and they take place in community venues.

What makes the courses a little different, is how they are delivered. People who have a personal experience of living with mental health challenges, work alongside health care professionals, wellbeing trainers and subject specialists to co-design workshops and co-deliver training. All of the training is interactive and discussion based and course numbers are kept small, on average between 12-14 people per course.  Free training is also provided, and wellbeing workshops for all Leeds Health and Care Staff – including third sector

Research and You is an introduction to research, how to get involved, how it can be part of a recovery journey and the importance of everyone being  involved – for research to be valid and useful, we need it to be shaped by the people who can benefit from it and that could be you.

It has been co-written by the Experts by Experience for Researchers (HEER) group who meet monthly to guide and influence mental health research happening in Leeds. It will be delivered jointly by members of the group and staff from the Research and Development Department at Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.
