Leeds Safeguarding Adults Board are a strategic partnership of different organisations with important roles in safeguarding adults in Leeds. Membership currently includes senior representatives from:

  • Leeds City Council – Adults & Health
  • West Yorkshire Police
  • West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board
  • Leeds and York Partnership NHS Trust
  • Leeds Teaching Hospital NHS Trust
  • Leeds Community Healthcare NHS Trust
  • HM Prison and Probation Service
  • West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service
  • Leeds City Council – Housing Leeds
  • Advonet

Their role is to bring organisations together to help and protect adults with care and support needs, from abuse, neglect and self-neglect.  This involves coordinating safeguarding work in the city and ensuring the effectiveness of arrangements in place.

There is also a new section for members of the public, with information about the many ways that abuse can happen and how to get help to be safe.
