Leeds Ambitions is the city’s refreshed strategy for tackling poverty and inequality, bringing together organisations and communities across Leeds under a shared goal — to help the city reach its full potential.
Watch CEO Ed Whiting talking about Leeds Ambition just as it was being launched.
The Leeds Ambitions framework is built around four priorities that guide how we work together as Team Leeds:
-
Healthy: Improving health and wellbeing so everyone can thrive.
-
Growing: Creating inclusive growth where opportunities and prosperity are shared.
-
Thriving: Building strong, safe and connected communities.
-
Resilient: Supporting a sustainable, net-zero, nature-positive city.
Each ambition reflects the belief that progress happens when the city works together — across public services, businesses, and the voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector.
A Collective Effort
The Leeds Ambitions highlight how collaboration can unlock change at every level. By sharing time, resources and expertise, organisations across Leeds are helping to create a fairer, healthier and more connected city.
The strategy builds on the long-standing Team Leeds approach — a commitment to partnership, mutual support and shared responsibility for making Leeds the best city to live, work and thrive in.
