Help shape support for green community organisations in Leeds
We’re sharing a short survey from Lens Lab, developed in partnership with Leeds Green Action Partnership (LGAP), to help shape a potential new programme focused on communications skills.
The idea is to support green, community-led organisations across Leeds to upskill in photography and video, strengthening how they tell their stories, engage people, and show the impact of their work.

Why this survey matters
Lens Lab is exploring a National Lottery funding application to run this programme. Your responses will:
-
Help identify current skills and confidence levels
-
Highlight what kind of support would be most useful
-
Strengthen the funding bid by grounding it in real need
The survey takes around five minutes to complete and will make a meaningful difference to whether the programme can go ahead.
Who should complete it
-
Organisations involved in environmental or green community action in Leeds
-
Staff, volunteers, or trustees who create or support communications
-
Multiple responses from the same organisation are welcome and encouraged, as this gives a clearer picture of needs across teams
What the programme could support
If funded, the programme would focus on practical, accessible skills such as:
-
Taking better photos for websites and social media
-
Filming short videos to explain projects or share stories
-
Building confidence with everyday equipment, including phones
