VCSE organisations across West Yorkshire are being invited to take part in a university-led training programme designed to help organisations better measure, evidence and communicate their impact.
Express your interest NOW.
The initiative forms part of wider work being developed through West Yorkshire Integrated Neighbourhood Health and the Power of Communities programme to create a more consistent approach to evaluating the contribution of the VCSE sector.
The long-term ambition is to make it easier for organisations to demonstrate the difference they make, support stronger partnership working and help secure more sustainable investment across the sector.
The programme is being led by Paul Carder, Head of Research at NHS West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board (ICB), with support from academic experts from four West Yorkshire universities.
Why This Matters
Many VCSE organisations collect data and feedback from the people they support, but demonstrating impact in a consistent and meaningful way can be challenging.
This programme aims to help organisations:
• Better evidence the difference their services make
• Strengthen evaluation and reporting skills
• Improve understanding of outcomes and impact
• Contribute to a shared West Yorkshire approach to demonstrating VCSE value
• Support future service development, commissioning and investment decisions
The work also aims to ensure that VCSE organisations are better represented in planning, service redesign and decision-making across health and care systems.
What’s on Offer?
Participants will attend two full-day, in-person training sessions covering practical approaches to evaluation, outcomes measurement and impact reporting. Each of the sessions are planned to be a mix of theoretical information followed by practical examples, therefore we would ask that all attendees bring a laptop with access to Excel as this will be required for the practical elements.
