Sing ON: Inspire Programme Supports People Living with Lung Conditions in East Leeds
Programmes like this offer a practical way to support people’s health and wellbeing through simple, accessible activity in the community.
Opera North is delivering Sing ON: Inspire, a singing programme for adults living with chronic lung conditions, in partnership with Leeds NHS Local Care Partnerships and Leeds Community Healthcare Respiratory Service.
What Is It?
Sing ON: Inspire is a structured six-week programme designed for people living with conditions such as COPD, asthma, bronchiectasis and long-COVID.
Sessions take place in a relaxed and supportive environment, focusing on:
- Breathing techniques
- Gentle movement
- Vocal exercises and singing
- Building confidence and wellbeing
Sessions are led by an experienced vocal coach alongside an Opera North pianist.
Why It Matters
For the Third Sector in Leeds, programmes like this provide an additional, non-clinical way to support people managing long-term health conditions.
