Forum Central is sharing a set of translated tuberculosis (TB) awareness videos developed to support organisations working directly with communities across Leeds.

These resources have been shared by Leeds City Council Public Health (Health Protection team), and have been developed in partnership with Touchstone and the Leeds Community Healthcare TB service.

They respond to a clear need for accessible, culturally relevant health information that can be used in real-world settings.

Why this matters

For many organisations across the Third Sector, reaching people with clear and accessible health information is a core part of day-to-day work.

Language barriers, stigma, and lack of awareness can all impact how early people seek support, particularly for conditions like TB where early testing and treatment are key.

These videos are designed to help bridge that gap.

They can be used to:

  • support conversations in community settings
  • share through social media and newsletters
  • use in outreach, engagement sessions and workshops
  • embed on your own website or digital platforms

What the videos cover

The short videos focus on key, practical information:

  • signs and symptoms of TB
  • testing and treatment
  • where to go for support and further information

They are designed to be simple, clear and easy to share across different audiences.
