Leading suicide prevention charity, PAPYRUS, has been commissioned to deliver suicide prevention training to those working across West Yorkshire.

Who is eligible for the training?

The training is available for:

  • Those working with children and young people outside of mental health services
  • Criminal justice – probation service, police stations, prisons, and young offenders
  • Housing associations – those who may come across tenants with specific risk factors for suicide
  • GP surgeries – including social prescribers and those supporting people with long-term conditions
  • DWP staff, debt advisors, and others who come into contact with the recently unemployed, or those experiencing debt and/or financial exclusion
  • Union representatives and line managers in major employers, particularly of men
