This online session will explore women’s pathways around homelessness in relation to health and hospital discharge, with a particular focus on the experiences of women leaving hospital without secure accommodation.

The session will look at the challenges women face when navigating hospital discharge, the gaps within current systems, and how these barriers affect both women themselves and the frontline workers supporting them. It will also reflect on wider system-level issues across health and homelessness services, sharing learning, good practice and opportunities for improved joint working.

About the session

This session is delivered through the Leeds Women’s Homelessness & Housing Frontline Network, part of the St Martin-in-the-Fields Frontline Network.

It is facilitated by Basis Yorkshire, in partnership with Together Women and Leeds Women’s Aid, who are proud partners of the Frontline Network.

The session is aimed at anyone working on the frontline with women experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity, particularly those supporting women around hospital discharge and health transitions.
