Healthwatch Leeds is inviting voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations and communities across the city to help shape its priorities for the coming year.

Healthwatch Leeds gathers feedback from people about their experiences of health and care services and uses these insights to highlight issues and influence improvements across the system.

Recent work has explored topics including digital access to services, waiting times, the NHS 111 mental health crisis line, community-based healthcare, young people’s mental health services and support for people with learning disabilities. These areas were identified through conversations with local people and organisations.

Healthwatch Leeds is now asking partners and communities to help co-design the organisation’s future focus.

Share your perspective

Third sector organisations and professionals are invited to share their views on how Healthwatch Leeds can:

  • work more closely with the VCSE sector

  • support organisations in their work with communities

  • add value across the health and care system in Leeds

You can take part here:
http://www.surveymonkey.com/r/PartReview

The deadline for responses is Monday 23 March.

Hearing directly from communities

Organisations are also encouraged to share a short set of questions with the people they support so that communities and service users can share their experiences and priorities.

This helps ensure Healthwatch Leeds hears directly from people using health and care services.

Community members can respond here:

Participants who complete the public survey will also be entered into a draw to win a £25 voucher.

Why this matters

Healthwatch Leeds is the independent watchdog for health and care services in the city, working to ensure that people’s voices are heard when services are designed and improved.

Insights gathered through this survey will directly influence the organisation’s priorities and the issues it investigates over the coming year.

For VCSE organisations supporting communities across Leeds, this is an opportunity to help highlight the challenges people are experiencing and shape future work across the health and care system.
