Statement to partners: Help us to help you
We understand the financial picture across sectors, and nationally, is incredibly challenging. This means it’s more important than ever to work together to ensure all of our efforts are effective and benefit people and communities fairly.
This is not about asking, how can we do more with less – we are asking – how can we, collectively as a system, make a big enough shift to make a real difference?
Third sector organisations, like the NHS and Local Authority, do tremendous work but this is sometimes unseen, undervalued, or its positive impact is underestimated. We are confident that even in the challenging climate there are opportunities to do things better together. Our ask of you is to engage with the third sector and involve us in the development of sustainable and workable solutions which suit people and communities.
We encourage you to:
- Utilise the existing wealth of knowledge that is in the sector
- Invest in good relationships with third sector organisations
- Make connections, and join up siloed work
- Coproduce solutions
- Commit to initiatives/ interventions which are known be effective
- Be an ally to the third sector
- Remind yourself of the State of the Sector report, and Third Sector Strategy and choose priority areas which you can progress or engage with.
