The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) are in the process of setting up Joint enterprise Local Scrutiny Involvement Panels (LSIPs) in the Yorkshire and Humberside region.

The CPS are seeking volunteers to sit on Local Scrutiny Involvement panels for finalised cases to make recommendations to the CPS about improving performance and support to victims and
witnesses. It is their belief that the best way to improve the quality of their prosecutions is by working with the communities affected by these crimes so that they can better understand the different perspectives.

Panel members will gain an in-depth understanding of the criminal justice process in general, and the role and functions of the CPS in particular. Applicants will need to have DBS Clearance and will need to attend a CPS Training session which is taking place on Tuesday 22 April 2025 10.30-14.30, over MS Teams.

The first panel meeting will take place on Monday 28 April 2025 10.00-12.30, again over MS
Teams.

If you are not available for these dates, you are encouraged to get in touch and express an interest. They anticipate two panel meetings per year, with the next meeting taking place
around October time.
