West Yorkshire Combined Authority is offering improved access for British Sign Language (BSL) users through its partnership with Convo.

If you communicate using BSL, you can connect to Metro and other services via a qualified online interpreter using Convo. The interpreter relays the conversation between you and a member of staff.

Convo can also be used for face-to-face conversations at bus stations across West Yorkshire. Look for Convo posters with QR codes, or ask a member of staff for support.

SignLive has now rebranded to Convo. The service itself remains the same.

How to use the service

BSL users can:

  • Log in to the Convo app on iOS, Android or via a web browser

  • Search for West Yorkshire Combined Authority in the Community Directory

  • Choose the relevant service

Services available through Convo include:

  • MetroLine for bus and train information

  • The Inclusive Travel Team for disabled person’s travel pass queries

  • AccessBus for bookings and enquiries

  • The Education Transport Team for school bus services and travel support
